Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge

Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge

Gunderson Construction worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services to ensure the project was energy efficient. The new education and visitor center was constructed with environmental sustainability in mind. It was built to the Silver Standard of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Total energy cost savings was $10,398 in 2008. The ground-source geothermal heating and cooling system alone will save over $1M in energy costs over the expected life of the equipment.
